My deepest condolences to Fr. Bede McGregor's family to include his Dominican family. Prayers for comfort and strength to all. His memory will live on through his many Allocutio's written for the Legion of Mary throughout the World. Many of his Allocutio's were read during our own Legion of Mary Praesidium at St. Mary's Bellevue Church. They have given us great spiritual guidance. God Bless you Fr. Bede McGregor. I shall always remember you with a warm heart. Teresa Hollars, Our Lady of Perpetual Adoration, Legion of Mary, St. Mary's Church, Bellevue, Nebraska, USA
— Teresa Hollars
My deepest sympathies to the Dominican community and Fr Bede's family.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.

I was greatly saddened to hear of the death of Rev Fr Bede McGregor. May God have mercy on his gentle soul.
Fr Bede was renowned for his insightful and spiritual allocutios. ( homilies ). Quite providentially I came across a legion bulletin, from April 2018 with one of his hallmark allocutios. It was on The Divine Office. In it , he quotes Frank Duff, who said, “ I have looked on The Divine Office as pure communication with God “ This tells us so much about Fr Bede and Frank Duff. Frank Duff also said “ I believe and hope, that by saying that Official Prayer of The Church, every day Our Blessed Lady will continue to bless the Legion”
My deepest prayer is that both Fr Bede and Frank Duff are both in “ deepest communion with God “ and showering down graces and blessings on Mary’s legion, the Church and the world.
Deepest sympathy to Fr Bede’s family, the Dominican Order and all his acquaintances.
— John Tighe
Fr Bede or as we called him "the Venerable Bede" was softly spoken, but his words were well chosen and full of wisdom and love....especially of the Blessed Sacrament and Our Lady.

I knew Bede as a (very senior) colleague when I taught philosophy in the Seminary at Maynooth at the turn of the century. He used to drop in to my office since I had a drip-coffee machine, and in exchange for a cup, he would dispense wisdom as startling as it was profound. He was humble friar, who wore his substantial learning lightly. Cujus animae propitietur Deus.
