Fr Eustace McSweeney OFM Cap.

Father Eustace was a constant presence in the chapel in Raheny at the end of a day's adoration in coming to close the tabernacle, done in a very reverential, respectful and faithful manner. Attentive, wise and gentle as a confessor. May you rest in peace and find your eternal reward.

Oct 7th. Capuchins in Korea fondly remembering Eustace on his 'month's mind'. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

I wish to offer my sincere condolences to the McSweeney family and to the Capuchin Franciscan Communities throughout the country on the passing of such a great Franciscan.I had the pleasure of being in Roco when his late brother Fr.Gerard was Dean and subsequently when he Fr.Eustace became Guardian in Holy Trinity and Provincial we often met ..his great wisdom calm and support together with his wonderful smile left you feeling comforted and assured that you were special in the eyes of the Lord.I am sure he received a great reward and welcome from the Lord and his brother Gerard in heaven.No more texts now just daily prayers to you for your continued support for the CapuchinFranciscan brothers.

Sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Fr Eustace. He was so kind to our mum when she spent her final weeks in the hospice. That kindness, compassion and spiritual support will never be forgotten by us. A true Christian.

I'm so saddened to read of Fr Eustace's passing. His picture is so apt. He always had a smile. Truly one of a kind. I was so grateful for his letters and calls during my own journey and illness and enjoyed our chats when we met when I worked at the Hilltop. I have been staying in Ards Capuchin Retreat Centre, Donegal for the past few days where he is remembered with great affection. We sat the Inter and Leaving Cert exams together. We kept in close contact throughout our lives ,whether near or far away. Our last contact was a phone call a few weeks ago. I am so so saddened to hear of the passing of Brother Eustace. I had the privilege of meeting him many times through confession & also did a 6 week retreat in Raheny in 2011 with some of his wonderful friends who have passed before him, Sr. Eilish & Noreen Kelly. I will always be grateful for that time it was such a powerful healing for me as I was going through a difficult time all the way until the end of my pregnancy & also my marriage. Prayers helped everything. I am honored to have met a true living Saint ! I will always pray to him. My condolences to his family friends & capuchin friars, Rest In Peace.
