I have many fond memories of him as our parish priest as I grew up, particularly when he would call to our primary school with his dog (on his way to walk the railway), and pass out some sweets to us. A gentleman whom many of us in Templeglantine will never forget.

It is with great sadness I heard of the passing of Fr Tom. He was a great friend to my Uncle, Pat Leahy, Ballybehy.He officiated at his funeral mass and his eulogy was of great consolation to our family.Fr. Tom was an intellectual and a great reader. He kept abreast of of all the different theological ideas of the most eminent Theologians and loved to discuss and exchange viewpoints..He was a great listener and loved humourous stories about the characters that live in the area. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who ministered faithfully to his flock until his retirement.My condolences to all the Foley family on this sad occasion

I will always remember the great support he gave to me,as Chairperson of the B.O.M. in Templeglantine, when l was Principal.
He was a learned man who appreciated the important things in life, nature, animals,books, music and most of all the importance of social interaction. He had a wonderful sense of humour which was evident to all who engaged with him.
I enjoyed our chats and will remember him fondly.
