So very sad to hear this news . I worked with Frances when she first qualified in the 80s at joe Barrett’s clinic in clonsilla. She was a one off , a great diagnostician from the beginning and an incredibly practical person in her approach to solving any issues for both pets and owners. This is actually an amazing skill and she never lost it. Her gentle kind way with the animals was a joy to behold. Rest in peace and condolences to her family. She was quite simply wonderful.

Frances will be missed for being such a wonderful vet. She was the only vet who could handle my nervous aggressive rescue Keli and who saved my Charlie, another rescue from pancreatitis giving her another 10 years. Rescue, foster dog Fran who was treated by Frances following a car accident was named after her. Hopefully she will meet these three plus many hundreds of dogs she helped over rainbow bridge..Rest in eternal peace Frances

Frances, a wonderfully compassionate lady with a huge heart, tirelessly dedicated to her profession. Treated all our pets over the years and we wouldnt have ever attended another vet with them. Her dry wit when explaining the oddness of hand reared kittens is something I will always remember! She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Her picture here is just pure sass, and it shows her so well. Rest easy Frances.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Frances. Sincere sympathy to her sisters Rosemary and Brenda. Quiet and humble neighbours of ours in Nobber in the 70's. Frances, in her adolesence years, very regularly tipped down the road from (her home) the Doctors residence to our farmyard at the bottom of the hill to view and feed the animals - carrying around our pet guinea pig in a bucket, as she did so. It brought her great joy and was an indication of her vocation, in later life, to care for all creatures great and small. Rest in Peace, Frances.
