To Theresa and all Frank's family, Frank was a man of many parts, family was foremost, with your support, education, politics, sport and fishing were among his passions in life. For Frank it was about others, opening doors, providing opportunities, and helping many reach their potential. Frank taught maths at Chapel St., Dundalk and then in 1969, he and his colleagues pioneered what grew into the 'Regional'. He was instrumental in the development of the Leaving Cert and the first third level courses. Many of Frank's past pupils have pursued careers in the areas of engineering and science, they would credit Frank with the grounding in mathematics and much more. In matters politics and union, it was about the betterment of others and improving working conditions.Frank and others were instrumental in establishing supports that became known as 'widows and orphans' where by all public servants pay towards the support of those, who became bereaved of their working spouse. Frank was a staunch GAA man, but took an active interest in other sporting codes at time when it wasn't in vogue. Frank's quizzes were legendary, GAA questions were always guaranteed! Even though Frank lived most of his life in Co Louth, he enjoyed nothing more than a St Patrick's Day in Croke Park to see a Galway club lift the Andy Merrigan or the Tommy Moore. Frank enjoyed the trips away fishing with family and friends. He will be missed on both sides of the river Shannon. "I nglac Dé igcónaí Frank."

Proinnsias, remembering today our combined childrens’ childhood when a few bob for the swimming pool, a trip to the sandhills and a few nights camping in the garden satisfied their youthful enthusiasm during the summer holidays.
Embers flickered and flamed as we reminisced about the carefree halcyon days of our youth as you are laid to rest.
Tempus Fugit.
Rest easy as you are greeted by a coterie of kindred spirits including our Dad, Mam, Áine and Ger…. RIP.
Enjoy some lazy days fishing in the Heavenly tranquil waters with your beloved son Donal.

To Theresa, Maeve, Finian, Aoife and Eoin we offer our sincere condolences as you navigate this different life without Proinnsias at the helm.
