Shocked and saddened to hear of Frank's passing in such an untimely manner.
I had the honour of knowing Frank in his early days in the Air Corps back in the 1950's and in later years we made many trips to the Battlefields in Flanders and the Somme with the members of the Roger Casement Branch.
He was always great company to be with and he will be sadly missed.
I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to his loving wife and family and to his wide circle of friends.

Frank was a very warm and kind Gentleman who’s popularity spanned generations at his beloved Island Golf Club.
His infectious enthusiasm for golf, his Club and the encyclopedic knowledge of golf’s traditions and history that he possessed were truly remarkable.

Frank found TV fame in what were to be his final days as he was interviewed on NBC Television at the US PGA Championship in Rochester NY last Week where he was a USGA tournament volunteer. During the interview Frank proudly acknowledged that he was attending his 51st Major Championship. It was also broadcast on “YouTube” and Frank was no doubt looking forward to showing it to his family and his many friends at the Club. Sadly, he passed away before he got a chance to show us all in person but it has been widely circulated amongst his friends at the Club.

Condolences to Siobhan and Frank’s family- he will be very fondly remembered by all.
