Today on my way to fly to see my family in Dublin I received a very sad and heartbreaking message on my way to the airport that my last living “McGlinn Uncle” Uncle Derrick had passed this morning. I am deeply saddened and heartbroken for my Aunty Anne, My cousins Gregory, Eric and Dianne and all of our extended family. I was really looking forward to seeing him. He was a lovely man. He was our family record keeper and our family photographer! I have so many fond memories of my time with him over the years. He had such a big heart and he was a very religious man. So kind and caring. He loved animals so much. He enjoyed looking after Shankly when we came over for my cousins wedding. He always loved labradors and so he loved looking after Shankly. Then my cousin Dianne got a labrador and I am sure that would have made him so happy. He was an amazing son, husband, dad, Grandad, brother, uncle, nephew…. he was just a really nice family man. I feel blessed to have called him my uncle. Sending all my love and condolences to my Aunty Anne and cousins. God bless you Uncle Derrick. The youngest and last of the three McGlinn brothers to have passed now. Now he is reunited with my dad, his brother Chris and his parents, my grandparents. Goodnight and god bless Uncle Derrick. I loved you so much xxx 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
