Dear Dermot, Deirdre, Brian and the extended Dunnion Family.
Our sincere condolences on the passing of your dear Dad, Gerry, one of life's great gentlemen. Always had the time to engage in a chat when we met him out walking around Mount Merrion.
Dermot, I always felt so very welcome in your family home anytime I visited and still cherish those memories of your Mum and Dad.
May Gerry's gentle soul rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to the Dunnion family on the loss of Gerry. I had many contacts during my time in D/Foreign Affairs with him in relation to the ESB’s important role in overseas aid projects. He was a pleasure to meet, a gentleman.
Sincere sympathies to the Dunnion family on the passing of your father. Gerry Dunnion, and indeed Peggy Dunnion, were spoken of in the Tim & Rita Costello household with great fondness & respect over many years of ESB connection! and latterly FGC. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

very sorry to hear of Gerry’s passing. One of life’s true gentlemen. He made me very welcome in Foxrock Golf club when I first joined. Always had a twinkle in his eye, and loved a bit of local gossip! RIP.
Sincerest condolences to Gerry’s family. Gerry was best man at my father, Mickey’s wedding in 1952. Daddy often spoke fondly of Gerry and when he died Gerry took the trouble to ring the priest on the morning of his funeral and gave a glowing account of my father’s character. We were very touched and grateful and understood why he wasn’t forgotten in Donegal. May he rest in peace.
Deirdre, Brian and Dermot, sending our sincere sympathy to you and your families. Gerry was a wonderful man and we have many fond memories, both of visiting him and Peggy in Dublin, and of meeting him at the many weddings and Broderick get togethers. He was such a lovely and sincere man who always took such an interest in those he talked to. Thinking of you all at this sad time.

Shortly after moving to Cherrygarth in 1994 we had the good fortune to meet Gerry and Peggy
We quickly became very good friends and neighbors
Following Peggy's death Gerry and I spent a lot time together and I really got to know and appreciate this wonderful man who cared deeply for his family and neighbours. Gerry left a great legacy in Dermot, Brian and Deirdre and their families. He was so proud of you all and especially of his Donegal heritage. I count myself so lucky to have had Gerry in my life. May he rest in peace..

Through meeting Deirdre & Dermot in the mid-80s, I have been lucky to know the Dunnion family, including Brian, their late mother Peggy, indeed her dear mother and of course Gerry, since then.
Gerry has been such an inspiration in many ways, not least in navigating the challenges of local golf club membership!
Blessed by a legendary intellect and work ethic, his zest for life combined with a sense of fun he's passed on to all three of his children.
Sympathies from all of us to each of you, and to the Dunnion diaspora.
