This is so very difficult, Michael/ Belinda, Brian/Róisín, Seán/Mary T and your families. You know, families we connected with in our younger days were just like family.....well that was us.......friends from our "youth" WERE FAMILY and Gerry was one of us, and nothing changes with time!! I would just like to express my sincere condolences to Gerry’s family on his passing.
I was in Granard yesterday getting the tires changed on my car at the tyre warehouse and a man that was there just happened to say how sad it was about Gerry, I had to say what about Gerry? I hadn’t heard about his passing otherwise I would have been at the funeral. He was one of life’s true gentleman. May his gentle soul be at peace now in the loving arms of our Lord in Heaven

My sincere sympathies to Imelda, Sarah and Niamh and the wider McCauley family on the sad passing of Gerry. Gerry was a character. I have very fond memories on the sidelines at many rugby matches. The "women" would be gone to the shops and he used to tell me this will be a very expensive match for me! He absolutely loved his family and his girls.
