Membership of any sports club creates a strong sense of comradeship amongst its members, and Gerry brought that quality in spades to Synge Street GFC.

However, I don’t think Gerry needed any such connection to display the warmth, kindness, cheerfulness, openness and humanity that was deeply imbedded in him.

Meeting Gerry occasionally, by chance, whether at a Dublin game in Croke Park or elsewhere, he invested himself so enthusiastically into the encounter, as to brighten the day and dispel any darkness.

Devasted to hear the sad news of Gerry's passing. A true gentleman. Our hearts go out to Aoife, Cian & Darragh . You were blessed to have such a loving Dad.
