Sincere condolences to the Queally family. A proud parish man. Mr. Queally was a formidable teacher. He was a superb educator and a fervant student of both the English and French languages. Whether it was a shakespearan tragedy, an Irish playwright or a sonnet for the ages, he installed a love of languages to those who were willing recipients. I had 2 classes a day in English and French for my LC years, which was not for the faint hearted. Homework was always done. On a bright fresh day, he entered his classroom with "open the windows and close your books". Great days. I was one of his class of '95.

My sincere condolences to you and your family on this sad occasion, gerry thought me French in room 10 from 1999-2004, what a true gentleman he was, I am proud to have known gerry as a student but also a friend I met many times after and was so kind with words and inspiration for all who knew him, I used to have a joke for gerry every morning before the bell went, and always admired his car especially the 04 Nissan primera when he got it, I hope you find the strength over these next few days and in known that everyone is thinking of you all and hope all of these words of fondness for gerry comfort you not only from students past and present but from true friends, jes suis desole, au revoir Mon ami

Our Kelleher family from Australia have the fondest memories of playing hurling on his front lawn. Afterwards Gerry gave us the hurling stick which still remains mounted on the wall of our family’s weekender here in Australia. Our thoughts are with you. 🕯️🙏
