Deepest sympathy to Greg’s immediate and extended family. Greg and I caddied for our respective fathers as they whaled at one another over 18 holes at the old 9 hole Monkstown golf course. At stake was half a Crown which at that time was about Zip in today’s currency, but then fed their children for a day—depending what they ate. We got a glass of Tanora for our efforts and were always happy when it was Greg’s brother David and my brother Tim’s turn to pick up the torch for the next weeks match. Not sure if they got the Tanora.
Rest in peace Greg. You will never be forgotten.

David, when you rang to let me know your Dad had passed i was shocked to hear he was gone so suddenly. Many the joke and laugh we had over the phone every week for the past couple of years. I used to look forward each week to Greg calling, it was always a good chat, a joke and after our conversation i was always smiling. My sincere condolences to you, your family and all that knew him. He had a great heart.
