I took over from Greg as President of Ashbourne Golf Club. He went out of his way to help and guide me during the handover. And was always happy to give a word of advice, if needed.
He invited me one time to Slane to an organ recital. I didn't realise he was so talented.

My deepest condolences to Angela, Mark, Karen, Ruth and his beloved grandchildren on Greg's very sad passing. I deem it a great honour to have known Greg from Ashbourne Golf Club where he was held in very high esteem. Only in recent weeks, Greg corrected me in his lovely mild mannered way when I described a hill walk I did along the border and referred to stepping across a stone wall from Co Louth into Co Down. Im so very sorry to see the passing of Greg i had the pleasure last year of him playing the piano and Angela singing what a beautiful performance from both ill cherish that for a long time, rest in peace Greg condolence to Angela and the family
