I was very saddened to hear of Helen’s passing; she was a wonderful person - a very strong willed woman with a brilliant sense of humour
Helen was a great friend to my aunt Émer and a devoted mother to Flan who I also had the pleasure of meeting often when we were growing up.
In more recent years she would join us on our Carrigaholt staycations and she will be sorely missed in future they won’t be the same without her

Sincere sympathy to you Flan and to the Liddy family on the passing of Helen. She was so like her Uncle Flan in so many ways - Flan was a good friend of my late parents, Jimmy Burke & Betty Greene Burke stemming from Jimmy & Flan’s early days in athletics - a friendship that lasted a lifetime. Great memories of giving Flan a lift on Sunday evenings to Spancilhill Inn and to Ennis. Helen is fondly remembered for her kindness, support and hospitality in having a memorial plaque placed at her home in Castlefergus to remember my mother’s relative, Volunteer John Ryan, East Clare Brigade. May Helen rest in peace. We are thinking of you all at this very difficult time.
