I was shocked and saddened when I learned about Ian’s passing and extend our deepest condolences to his family. Ian was a valued member of Noranda’s small and highly skilled geological team in Navan and in the late 1990s/early 2000s I visited the office regularly. Ian was normally quiet, but always cheerful and never shy to offer his valued thoughts on his projects. We were in touch sporadically over the ensuing years, I was pleased to see how his career progressed and I looked forward to meeting with him during his frequent attendance at the annual PDAC conventions in Toronto. May he rest in peace.
