I was very saddened to read that Jemmy had passed away.
I vividly remember the first time I met him in Hill St
I had never heard anybody before sing a medley of Gershwin songs.
It was great and how he enjoyed performing them in a positive and energetic way.
I’m sure he’s in good hands now

Dear karen and Gayle i am so sorry to hear the sad loss of jimmy, to me he will always be Mr. Rogan. So many childhood memories growing up together on Newtown road. He was a great friend and beighbour to my mam and dad. He introduced us to opera when no one else knew about it on the road from his seafaring days of travel . He was great fun in our teenage years and would always stop for a chat whenever i met him in later years out walking the dogs.. I was so very fond of him. I am so sorry i am out of the country for the funeral but will arrange to meet up when i get back. Thinking of you all. Liz xx

Sincere condolences to Karen and Gayle, and the extended Rogan family on Jimmy's passing. We had plenty of banter and stories told in Jim Mcgees over the years, but it was Jimmy who always had the audience listening attentively with his yarns and seafaring stories and throwing in a few digs at certain clientele at the same time but all in good faith that brought on much laughter with the customers. He was highly respected by all that were in his company and made many friends here throughout the years. He will be sorely missed by us all here both staff and customers alike ,a true gentleman that will remain in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace 🙏.
