A true gentleman

Love Chris, Peter & Lisa Walsh
— Chris Walsh
Rest up, Uncle.
I loved you very much, and i wish i had more time with you, especially in the gym.
I will miss you every day and know you're looking down on us with your lovely smile.
I will get in the gym after Christmas and put your training plan into action that you kindly sent to me.
All my love, Liam
— Liam Beales
John (Jean) has been my brother and friend for my whole life. He will be greatly missed by me and his whole family.
His loved his time in the gym and enjoyed passing advice on to others. His other love was music and he was adept on the bagpipes, achieving the rank of Pipe Corporal in the Townsville Highland Band in Australia. In later life he enjoyed playing at birthday and other celebrations.
We would like to thank all his friends and neighbours who have been such a large part of his life in over 30 years of living in Ireland.
The support and care he received during his illness was exceptional. We are so glad that he lived in such a caring community.
We will always remember the kindness and hospitality shown to us when we visited Ireland to deal with his estate.
— Rose-Marie, Brian Beales and Family
John was a great
character and it was always a pleasure meeting him. He was erudite, engaging and entertaining. I loved all our chats especially about our beloved Cats. The world is a poorer place without him. RIP.

You were more like a brother to me than a brother-in-law Jean. You were loved by so many people and had so many wonderful friends who i can never thank enough for all their kindness to you. I will miss our very long chats, you were never stuck for something to say and always made me laugh. When we lost your brother you always checked to make sure I was okay, always thinking of others, never putting yourself first and I will never forget that. You were a real character with a big heart and you will always remain in mine. Love and miss you always x
— Anne Guerin
Uncle Jean you will be massively missed, i loved your stories and your zest for life. Uncle Jean could entertain me for hours with his tales of competitions, his goals that he acheived, and there many of them, aswell as tales of far away places. From a child you had me captivated by them. I know you will be up in heaven chatting with Dad about the good old days which makes me smile. Sadly gone but never forgotten.
— Pierre Guerin
