Jean Kelly-Kilduff

Stunned to hear the sad news about Jean. I knew Jean and Mark 30 years ago where they met in the Dublin Adventure Club. Jean was always smiling and laughing and had a happiness about her, I'm sure that never left her.

She fought her illness with the same dignity, strength and courage that she lived her life. While we will miss her physical presence, Jean will never be lost to us, living on in the loving relationships, friendships and legacy of love she leaves behind. Her eyes beamed and smiled from her first breath and were a lens to the world that she shared with us through her art, capturing nature's beauty as easily as she captured the hearts of all who met her. You cannot look outwards with awe, wonder and amazement unless you hold it within yourself, and Jean embodied it, living life to the fullest. May she rest in peace as she remains in our hearts. I cannot find words to console the loss or absence of such an energetic, vibrant flame but she will burn within our hearts forever and continue to light the path for those who loved her and whom she loved.

I’m so sad to learn of Jean’s passing. I knew her from her volunteering at cycle events I was involved in, especially the Míle Fáilte and Geimhreadh 200 where time and again, she was a wonderful support and inspiration to everyone involved; cyclists and organisers. She’s left us long before we were ready to let go.
