“Deepest condolences to all of Joan’s family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult and sad time.

I have a lot of fond memories of Joan. She would always get so excited when Leinster and Ireland were playing - she never missed our rugby messages.
And over the last 17 years, every November I’d see Joan in London with Kathleen where they celebrated all things Christmas. It became a lovely festive tradition and I’m so grateful for those wonderful memories which I’ll never forget, including Joan’s collection of Christmas earrings.
Joan Armstrong, you were one of a kind, you were so caring, joyous and you will be forever missed.
Thank you for bringing joy and love into all our lives.
May Joan’s adventurous soul Rest in Peace xxx”
