So sorry to hear of the passing of Joan. She was a night sister when I commenced my training in Dr Steevens Hospital Dublin in the eighties. She was such a lady and so kind to all nursing students. Rest in Peace kind lady.

Heartbroken to hear of Mrs Overton's passing. Such lovely memories of her kindness when we were kids and indeed her visits to our house in her later years. She was very lucky to have such a lovely family to care for her and grandchildren whom she obviously adored. May she rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences to Mrs Overton's family and friends. She was a topic of conversation only a week ago between a consultant colleague and I, such was her reach across disciplines. We agreed she was a formidable, repected, fair night super. I remember her rounds as if they were yesterday,impeccably dressed in her green uniform with her hat on adding height, she knew every detail of every patient in the hospital, and staff too. Equally scared and supported as a student! I will always remember her for her professionalism and advocacy for all under her when it wasn't a thing! May her kind soul rest in peace. Niamh
