I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your beloved mum, Joan Sheppard (née Keegan). Though I never had the privilege of meeting her, knowing you, her daughter, I am certain she must have been a truly remarkable and beautiful soul.

Your journey home from Australia to spend precious time with her and then again, with urgency, to Dublin shows the immense love and connection you shared. I can only imagine how much comfort your presence must have brought her.

Please know my thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with you and your family during this difficult time. While Joan may no longer be physically present, her memory and spirit will remain with you always, never lost in your heart and mind.
