Dear Liz and Johns family, we're very sorry for the passing of John. We watched super garden , were rooting for ye and so happy ye won! We were in bloom on the Saturday ; the garden was beautiful and you came over to talk to us Liz , telling us John was chatting to his sister at the back . When John came over , even though he was in great demand, he had loads of time to answer my two boys questions and when Ruben asked him where was the hedgehog highway! , John let him and his brother Riaan go into the garden to have a look around! They were delighted! , were impressed by the covered clothes dryer and told him so after! . Thank you for your kindness , hope the beauty of the garden helps you along Liz
Rachel, Ruben and Riaan xxx

Heartfelt condolences to Liz and all who loved John. We watched you on supergarden and we were so thrilled that John's garden won. It was fabulous and he was a very deserving winner. He has inspired us to buy pollinator friendly plants and flowers and plants that will attract bees. I cried when I heard he had died suddenly. It would be lovely if he got to stay longer in this world as he was so obviously loved by you Liz and he had so much to offer. He clearly touched many hearts and inspired many. We could all learn from him by not getting wrapped up in material things and just treasure and enjoy the beauty of nature around us. We hope all your wonderful memories of this incredible man will be a comfort to you all in the times ahead. No doubt you will miss him forever but he will be forever in your hearts and you will feel his presence in his beautiful garden. May your beloved John rest in peace in his heavenly home. Sending you huge hugs.

This is my second condolence message to you Liz and to John’s family. I hope you are all doing as well as possible. I watched John’s funeral online and was glad to learn more about this man whom I call Father Earth. Lovely to hear about John’s family background, growing up and his adult life in that extraordinary eulogy by a Michael. I could have listened to it all day. You did John very proud with that send off. I was very moved and I can’t even imagine how very very proud you must all be of him. What an incredible, good man. I feel blessed to now know about his goodness in the world. I can’t get over him creating a prayer area at the church and sowing a tree to remember Covid victims. Words fail me. I keep telling people I meet to look up his Super Garden appearances and tributes on RIP so that their lives may be as enriched as mine has been by “meeting” John from afar. I feel sure John will continue to look out for you all and never again will any of you walk alone, particularly you Liz. Mind yourselves. Xx

Heaven’s Garden

There's a beautiful garden in Heaven,
And some fine day we'll be there:
Each flower is sweetest perfection,
With beauty beyond our compare.

And there in the midst of that garden,
The most perfect flower of all:
Jesus, the sweet Rose of Sharon,
The Savior of all who would call.

He is the delight of the garden,
Most perfect in every way;
His is the sweetest aroma,
That scents the entire bouquet.

His perfume is found in that garden,
His beauty will there be displayed;
His flowers will bloom there forever,
Their beauty will not spoil or fade.

His perfume is the prayer of believers,
His beauty is in hearts that love,
His flowers are the souls of the faithful,
Who are gathered for the garden above.

And there in that heavenly garden,
When Jesus the Lord calls us home,
We each will bloom forevermore---
Oh, come, Lord Jesus! Come!
