Deeply saddened to hear of Johnny's passing. Johnny loved dancing and you would be always guaranteed a quick step, waltz or whatever was going. He had a step for all rythems. A class dancer and teacher of same. Keep dancing with the angels Johnny. Always a gentleman with a warm greeting every time I would meet him. All the photos he should me on his phone, when we met of his talent for baking, flans, tarts, brown bread etc. A gifted person. Always a gentleman with a big heart and greeting every time we met. You will be gratefully missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing you. Rest in peace my dear friend.

To Anne imelda and Martina and all the Higgins family and friend Margaret and all extended family on the passing of John...such a gentleman and he did a gud deed for me many years ago...when i arrived out of work after a 12 hr night shift to a flat tyre on a sunday morn...to me and Ann...thats kindness from the heart and from reading the other condolences he was a remarkable man and very popular..its always the good ones that god takes too soon..you will all miss him so much .thinking of ye at this sad time .sorry i missed the funeral..(was aboard on hols)..take care .

I have very fond memories of Johnny and the time he spent at our house - his dancing, the chats, his quick wit and laughter, and the incredible skill he brought to his carpentry.

To all the family, a heart felt condolences on the loss of Johnny. Growing up he was a great friend of the family and I will always have fond memories of him and my father doing building works, laughing and joking around together. Johhny had a real infectious laugh but most of all, the emerald sweets he use to always bring for us not only as kids everytime he came to visit, but as we grew to be adults, it became a running joke. Glad he got to come to a family celebration in January where we enjoyed his company one last time, he will be sorely missed. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
