My deepest sympathies to the Lloyd family at this time of loss. As a former work colleague I developed the highest level of respect for John for his intellect, abilities and work ethic. He made a significant contribution to industrial development in Ireland, a legacy which lives on today.

Dear Stella,

I am so sorry to have missed John's funeral Mass yesterday due to a sudden illness which incapacitated me for the whole day.

You and the family have my deepest sympathy.

John was a fine colleague in the IDA, hard-working, good-humoured, helpful and a having great ability to establish relationships with potential clients - an essential IDA skill. He contributed much to Ireland's economic development over a number of years.

I remember very well the shop in Cormac St where I would hand in a list of groceries which would be delivered the next day to our home in Church Street. His father Patrick was a very kind man and from reading all the comments John inherited many gifts from him.
I remember John very fondly in the late forties and early fifties when we left Tullamore to live in SANDYCOVE.
My late sister Geraldine was in at the beginning of the IDA and would probably have known John as was her husband Ray McLoughlin.

As time passes we rely on great memories. I was at John and Stella 's wedding - October 4 1971. I remenber him in so many ways- life in Tullamore,Rugby , Swimming, the odd late night at the club.!!
