Sincere condolences to all the Moloney family at this sad time. I met Fr Pat in NY City 2012 at my grandsons christening. Rest in Peace John
— Con Nyhan Arklow
My condolences to the entire Moloney family on the passing of John. I have so many fond memories of John at picket lines, working the tables at festivals, and always out supporting Irish Republican causes. John was never afraid to speak his mind and I admired him. John was up to play a joke on someone and to have a laugh. John was always to the fore no matter what. A true Irish Republican. Rest with the angels John you will be missed.
— Kathleen McGinley NYC Co Monaghan
I am shocked to hear only today of John's passing. I will miss our regular phone conversations, accumulated over th years, where we settled many world problems, and mostly, John's hearty, loud laugh. He was an 'ol school gentleman of the finest. Our world is a lesser place without the likes of John.
— Sheila Rawle (Dublin)
Sincere sympathy to Father Pat, the extended Moloney family and John's many friends and comrades on his sad passing. I had the pleasure of being his neighbour on E3 in the 80s. Our chats on the 'pipe' often ran until the early hours. John was a gentleman and staunch Republican.

Codladh Samh Mo Chara.

My Deepest sympathy and condolences to the entire Moloney family, I was deeply saddened to hear that John passed.

I know all the family extremely well and proudly lived amongst them in my time in America. John was a great person and I always valued our friendship - both he and Mary fed and found me In NYC when I lived there and I’ll be eternally grateful for that. Mary was like my 2nd mother.

John got me a job and union membership and accommodation- Mary fed us all relentlessly!

John was a great character and stood in support of Irish Unity and the Republic.
May he rest in peace!

My thoughts are with Lizzie, Johnny, Frank, Michael, Eila, Annie, Mary and or course Fr. Pat!

Words truly can’t express my feelings- may ye all stay strong.

From
Maurice Quinlivan TD and Sue.
