It was with sadness we learned of the passing of your beloved Joe. Our deepest sympathy to you Breda, Lorraine, David, Paddy, Sinead, Mary, Jody, Bridget, Cristiano, Martin, Conor, Grandchildren, Brother, Sisters Brennan, Doyle, extended families and many friends. We have a long friendship with Joe, a gentleman and a gentle man. A great historian, sportsman, and we enjoyed many lively debates on all topics. Joe’s farewell ceremony was a fitting tribute, enhanced with beautiful singing and music. Joe would be very proud of David’s wonderful Eulogy. May Joe now rest in heavenly peace reunited with all his loved ones.

Sincere sympathy to Brennan family, extended family and friends, on sad passing of Joe. Many an enjoyable chat we had while attending GAA games down through the years, Joe was so likeable and friendly. In his professional life he was a wonderful ambassador for An Garda Siochana, and was a very popular community activist who always had a kind encouraging word for everybody. Peace to his gentle soul.

Sincere condolences to Breda, Lorraine, David, Sinead, Paddy , Mary, Jody and extended family on the passing of Joe. Many fond memories including the discussing of his hip operations. Only twice did I come across Joe in official capacity. Once was 3 o clock in the afternoon when i was walking home from school with my head down and saw these great pair of shoes about a foot away from me. Looked up to see this big man in garda uniform and got a fright. He was obvoiusly 'on the beat' in the village. But I was met with a great smile and a warm heart in return The next time was some years later to sign passport photos. Luckily for me i never hung around Shevry. Thinking of you all at this time and the many good memories. May Joe rest in peace.
