I have only the fondest memories of your summer visits with Uncle Jimmy and Garrett with Uncle Bill Cullen and sometimes Auntie Rita in tow down the west to Renvyle in Connemara.
Auntie Kay never forgot a birthday and the card in the post every year until each of us turned 21 puts our now modern correspondence skills to shame. Her distinctive penmanship on the envelope would sit looking at us propped up on the hall table as we weren’t allowed open the card until the actual day.
Auntie Kay was also a wonderful craftsperson - she knitted and crocheted amazing baby clothes for all us.
She was a fantastic, long lived woman that made an incredible impact from afar.
Rest easy now.
