Safe passage to lovely Kathleen Watkins rip! Both Kathleen and Gay were adored in our house growing up! They are reunited now in a beautiful forever place. Both did so many lovely things for broadcasting in Ireland in a beautiful self deprecating way which endeared them all the more to the people of Ireland.

Suzy and Crona, the funeral Mass was beautiful today. Your Mam and Dad would be so proud of you all. May they rest in peace together.

May I just say that the funeral service today was most beautiful, in every way....it was so well constructed, beautiful music and singing, lovely words from her gorgeous grandchildren, including the Harpist, and a lovely tribute to her Mum from Suzy. Kathleen Watkins must be smiling down at you all from Heaven

Kathleen and I were boarders in the same class in Sion Hill 1950-1952. She was so friendly and full of fun and stories. Her wonderful personality and amazing musical talent brought her to National attention all those years ago. I offer my sincere sympathy to all her family and I know her passing will leave a big gap in your lives.
