❤️My Dad Larry,it’s achingly hard to fathom you have gone.My memories of you are so vivid,we are going to Portrane pk & Curracloe pk & fishing from your boat in Dalkey, hunting the fields of Rathcoole & Curracloe, wonderful times.
You teaching me how to drive in your new Mercedes,l was thrilled & then you even lent me your Mercedes to pick up my girlfriend who is my wife Valerie of 32 years now!.We always laugh & say that was Dad giving his seal of approval. Working with you as a Metal fabricator for 20yrs or more, even sleeping in the workshop to get the job finished for the morning, we were proud & worked so hard.
Your gift of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Johnny Cash & many more on our long Sunday drives still plays on.
When Sean O’ Connor had written about you in his book “Growing up so High” & his boxing bout in the ring with you in Nov 1950 in The National Stadium,The excitement l felt in finding the newspaper article & photo of you both & then the joy in seeing you & Sean get to meet each other again after 64years was a magical experience. That was the effect you had on people Dad..magical ! He said to me even though you had beaten him good in the match he had to put it in his book.
Dad l will forever cherish you in my heart and keep your memory close to me.
I love you Dad, thanks for always being there for me & being the best Dad a man could have, as you use to say to me “see you later Lar”… “see you later Dad”
Your ever loving Son

I have so many wonderful memories if my Great granddad it's hard to know where to begin. I am so lucky and privileged to have spent my childhood growing up with you. You taught me so many things from being kind and considerate to my table manners while eating many meals with you. Thank you for everything, you were a true gentleman and role model! Love you Larry x
Give Molly a big hug and kiss from me x

My Great grandad Larry was the most kind and caring man. I loved how he would always feed the birds outside Molly's bedroom window so she could watch them when she woke up.
Everything he did made me so proud to call him my great grandad. He was someone I could ask a history question and I would listen for hours. I was always so interested with the stories of him as a young boy. I used to look forward to going to Molly and Larry's house on the weekends. Larry said to me his favourite thing I used to do was go into Molly when she woke and dance for her. It's so silly to think about now but back then I loved doing it! seeing both of them watching, smiling at me. I had the honour of getting life lessons and wisdom from him that no one else could teach me and I will never forget. Love you to the moon and back Larry xx

We Were Four
We four grew up and played together. We even sometimes worked together and served in the FCA together.
We partied, drank, ate and sang together.
Like all boys we even disagreed together.
Then life sent us on our separate ways. We met from year to year for happy family days.
We lost Tom and Terry in 2013. Larry (Lar) said, “just you and me now Kev!”
The good news is, we four remained friends all our lives, just as our parents had hoped and I will miss the phone calls to Lar now that he has left us.
When I go through the exit door, I wonder will we once again be four?

I am deeply saddened about the passing of my beloved grandad. He was a truly lovely, gentle, and kind man. I cherish the fond memories from my childhood, where his wisdom and knowledge always seemed to shine through. Even though I am far away in Australia and unable to attend the funeral in Ireland, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
Grandad will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will forever treasure the lessons he taught me and the love he shared.
With all my love and sympathy,
