Deeply saddened to learn of Liam’s passing. Liam was a lot of fun to be around and a true gentleman. Liam’s exploits and on the football field representing the Air Corps are legendary. I was fortunate enough to work along side Liam on aviation contracts in Munich and Cambridge in the 90’s. Great memories. My condolences to Adam,Daniel,Monica and the extended Lynch family.

He was a lovely guy, a gentleman and a gifted footballer who I was lucky enough to play alongside with the Aer Corps. I had the pleasure of working along with him in Aer Lingus until he moved on a few years ago. Always pleasant and good company. Fly high Liam.

Sincere condolences to Liam’s family on his sad passing. I met Liam in the Air Corps Hostel back in 1980 and worked alongside him in Gormanston. Always very friendly to all and a very good footballer. On one occasion during a friendly football game in Gormanston, Liam was so engrossed in the game he forgot which direction he was playing, and after winning the ball, he outran a couple of players to score a lovely point over his own goal . But he later made up for it before winning. May Liam RIP.
