I was heartbroken for Brian to hear about the loss of his sister Lorraine. Brian, I know how deeply you cherished your relationship and what a significant part of your life she was. Losing your only remaining sibling is a profound loss, and my heart goes out to you. I hope that you can find comfort in the love and memories that you shared.

Sincere sympathy to all of Lorraine's family. I worked with Lorraine years ago in BOI and what a lovely funny girl she was. Unfortunately we last contact. Last time we met was by chance while on holidays in Lanzarote and we had such craic. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Lorraine, your kindness, honesty and sincerity have always been appreciated by me. You were totally respectful and welcoming of Brian, your brother, and me, your brother-in-law.

We often had hearty laughs and good times sharing food and drink. I remember one Christmas when you walked into your Mom and Dad’s house, you said “it smells like home!” The Christmas dinner was baking in the oven with all the trimmings and scented candles were throughout the house. You loved having a cup of tea together with us to sit and chat. You looked so beautiful wearing your pretty pastel colors.

Finding Stephen, as your life partner, made you happy as you journeyed through life together. How fortunate you were to have one another.

I too am proud of the lovely children you and Michael raised, Graham and Deirdre. They both have a special place in my heart. As parents you instilled values to be empathetic, respectful, loving, and caring adults.

I carry you in my heart, R.I.P.

Stephen, Graham, Dee, Lorraine’s five adored grandchildren, Karen and Rory, all my deepest condolences.

Lor, it was an honor and privilege to be with you during the last few days of your time on this earth and your transition to that beautiful place. You lived your life without pretense and were so comfortable in who you were and where you came from which is something we inherited from Mum and Dad.

I’m going to miss you and your sense of humor so badly, but know you will continue to mind and protect me as you have done all of my life. Perhaps some less positive people may think that is being spoiled. You never judged nor did you hold onto resentments and grudges. Thanks to both their parents your amazing and kind children hold the same values and qualities.

It seems like yesterday we were in our peaceful family home and enjoying summertime in Kerry and Cornwall when we were younger. Riding horses in Smithstown was a great laugh and something we both loved, you as a young mother and me as a teenager. Gouldavoher was always so welcoming and fun. Let us not forget all the lovely times at your caravan in Kilkee.

You have been the most loyal, dependable and honest sister anyone could wish for.

Thanks for the beautiful letter given to me last week per your request, but written three years ago. I have always been so “proud” of you too!! Until we meet again R.I.P. my kind and dear sister.
