Dear Family O’Sullivan,
Please accept my sympathy on the death of Marie( Miss O’Donnell to me.)
I was a pupil at Roslyn Park, Sandymount in the 1950s and Miss O’Donnell was our Speech and Drama teacher. She was quite simply unforgettable. Into my life came this beautiful and accomplished woman who was inspirational. She loved her subject and wanted her pupils to succeed so much. Since reading of her death I have spoken with two other classmates and our recollections were so similar. Miss O’Donnell prepared us for elocution exams, organised school plays and most importantly addressed the entire school,staff and parents on Prize Day where she was a vision of elegance and poise. 1950s Ireland was a fairly drab place. Style and glamour were rare!
Marie went on to RTE and much else. I remain grateful for the confidence she imparted which served me well in later life and I bless her memory. With sincere regards to one and all, Katharine Bulbulia ( nee O’Carroll.)

So sorry to hear Kate of your mothers death. Never easy but the family will have so many memories to get through these difficult times.

Darling kate and kym we are both so very sorry to hear of the sad passing of your mum and granny. No matter how much expected her passing was , when it happens if is still an enormous shock to comprehend and the finality of it makes it hard to bear ! I hope you both, maurice and Ely, are getting through this sad time. Izzy and i are away at the moment so cant be with you but sending all our love and prayers. You were blessed to have such a special relationship kate with your mum but i know all too well this makes her passing all the more difficult to accept .
