So sorry to learn of my childhood friend Whacker , a lovely person and character. He was always funny and cheeky but with a good heart.
Three of us palled around together, Ocky Grace , Whacker and myself went to the Bohs games in the early 70s.
Martin worked in the Gresham as a bell boy while me and Ocky worked in the fish factory on the North Road, all as 14 year olds ! We were only babies.
The last time I saw him was in Riga in 1994 where we bumped into each other after an Irish game. We had a good session and caught up on old times
My condolences to his family, he will be missed.
