We were very sorry to hear the sad news, our Folks used to love meeting Mary, always a story and a great laugh. She always had a genuine chat with us too in the shop.

We knew Mary over many years going to Kells pool with school groups and our own children. I never knew her to be anything only in good humour and it seemed to infect anyone who came in contact with her. The woman with the posh Leitrim accent will be sorely missed by all who loved her. And they were many.

Mary was such a lovely, kind-hearted, welcoming, interesting, funny and wonderful lady who just lit up a room with her presence and brought such joy to all her knew her. May she rest in peace.
