Mary (or she will always be known to me as Mrs Sugrue) was my best teacher. Anyone who asked me that question over the years and even as recent as last week was met with a definite answer straightaway, 'Mrs Sugrue without doubt, the best. '

Her kindness & smile made Rathcoole NS shine bright. One of my core childhood memories and earliest observations at Rathcoole NS was that Mrs Sugrue made time for every single pupil that she taught and this positive impact was immeasurable for so many, myself included for sure.

Her passion for encouraging, inspiring and supporting pupils, her great sense of humour and fun together with her innate traits of patience and empathy will be remembered for a lifetime.

Go raibh míle maith agat a Mhúinteoir.
