I met Maura when she phoned me one day out of the blue to ask me to knit a communion shawl for her niece. I will remember it as one of those chance encounters you have in life with a beautiful soul. I later knit a school cardigan for a nephew. It was so sweet to experience such love she had for you. She would have liked to have been able to knit the pieces for you herself.
I am not often in Bray but recently I found myself passing her house and thought of her. Sometimes connections are fleeting but so impactful. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
