On behalf of myself and family I would like to express my deepest sympathy to daughter,Marie and sons, Sean and Brendan and brother , Fr. Brendan on the very sad passing of dear Maureen. I, likewise, extend my sincere condolences to all the extended Ryan and Scanlan families, relations and wide circle of friends. It is always so tough to loose a loved one and this I know from personal experience but there is comfort in the thought they are gone from the pain and suffering of this world to their Heavenly Home which they have truly earned and richly deserve and now back into the loving arms of those family members who have gone before them and there waiting to welcome them home! I had the great pleasure of knowing Maureen as I grew up only a couple of miles from her home in Gortmagee and was a regular visitor to the family home as a young lad growing up. I have great memories of Maureen teaching me to dance and she was so good , I had notions of becoming the next FRED ASTAIRE but never quite made it!! I was sorry to have missed the funeral as I was out of the Country but I will always remember Maureen and all of our dearly loved ones,in my thoughts and prayers - Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis. Dear Marie, Sean, and Brendan,

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your dear mother, Maureen. In our house, she was always affectionately known as our "Auntie Maureen". As children, we eagerly anticipated the regular visits from Auntie Maureen, Tony, and yourselves. Those were truly happy days, when Tony's Hillman Hunter arrived on a Sunday afternoon.

Margaret, Mark, and I will never forget the great care Maureen provided to our dear dad, Patrick, in Caherdavin following his hip surgery many years ago. She was not only a wonderful nurse but also a kind and compassionate person.

Unfortunately, I am traveling internationally this week and won't be able to attend the funeral. However, please know that I am with you in spirit, and Auntie Maureen will be in my thoughts and prayers. I will always cherish the good memories of those childhood days. May she rest in peace.
