I was so very sorry to receive the news of your family’s great loss. Though we lived an ocean apart, your father was the iron link connecting our families. I have only the fondest memories of all of you, but your father especially held such a special place in my heart. His visits to the US were always peppered with laughter and joy he brought with him. Apparently, he had an endless supply in his soul. He found the bright spot in every situation. He also was resolute in his convictions and I so admired him for that. For countless things actually. His faith was evident in the spirit of his children and entire family. His eyes twinkled when he spoke of his grandchildren. His own children seemed to be his true pride. With Kevin by his side, they were the dynamic duo traipsing through the Alaskan wilderness when they visited. They were determined to explore parts nearly unknown. If you visit Alaska, outside of the tourist
areas-those parts are barely touched.
I can’t imagine how broken your hearts must be. How blessed you were to have these men in your lives. I pray you find strength and peace knowing that they are together on this next journey.

Though the times I got to spend with
Uncle Mike were brief and far between, I could tell he was a man of Strength, Dignity,
Compassion and Love. He enjoyed life to it's fullest and he filled everyone's life he touched with Joy. He will be missed by many but forgotten by none. God love you
