It's with great sadness that we have heard of Michael John's death. Today the 23rd July i heard it. He was a wonderful person, he used to bring Roger home every evening from the old mon and always great banter. May he rest in eternal peace with all his loved ones 🙏 ❤️

Deeply saddened to learn of Mikey John’s death. My sincere sympathy to his family, the extended Dinneen clan and his neighbours and friends who will miss his genial company and kindly ways. The last story he told me was of walking through the Sliogadal, as a school boy, with two half quarters of tobacco for an ancestor in Knocknabro. Ní dóca go mbeidh a leithéid déanta arís go deo. It was always a pleasure to meet Mikey John be it at work in Cadbury's, bingo on Friday night, at Panto every year, or shopping when he had his little dog in the car with him. He always had a pleasant greeting or a witty remark when you met him.
