Nicky was an absolute legend and a gentleman. We as a family have wonderful memories of meeting Nicky over the years in his many incarnations, including Mary Barry's Kilmore. He always took the time to chat no matter how busy he was and he was busy! My father, Michael, especially loved to catch up with him when we were visiting from Dublin. And since my father passed, Nicky always mentioned him when we met. His culinary skills were second to none and he designed the most amazing menus, which will live on in his memory. Kilmore Quay and Kilmore will never be the same. You will be missed greatly Nicky. May you rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis. Mary, Deirdre & Dave Walsh & families.

I have only just heard of Nicky’s passing. My sincere condolences to all of his siblings and extended family on the loss of their brother/ uncle, and to his close friends. RIP Nicky.

I am truly heartbroken by the loss of Nicky. He meant the world to me and played such a significant role in shaping who I am today. He gave me a passion for cooking, instilled in me a strong work ethic, and, above all, we shared a great friendship.

I had the privilege of working with Nicky for nearly a decade—through the silver fox, the islander, and the shop. Even in the toughest of times, we found great laughter, and I will always cherish those memories.

My deepest condolences to his family. He was one of a kind, and he will be deeply missed. RIP

APersonal Friend of Rose and I from our times when we had our Mobile in Chapel and Nicky had his Shop.

2 Year's ago I had the pleasure of bringing 50+ Member's of our Active retirement group there for Dinner on1 of our trips also later a Group of members from our Men's Shed.
On both occasions Nicky came out to us for a chat and photograph's,always a Gentle Unassuming Giant.
