It is with great sadness that we have learnt today of the passing of Padraic some days ago. I had the honour of being Chairman of the Board when Padraic was Principal, he was a totally dedicated professional, dedicated to the well being of his students and the advancement of the school. He piloted the school we have today and took over the day to day oversight of the development, no mean task. Despite severe health difficulties Padraic maintained a hugely positive outlook that all who knew him were in awe of. Imelda, Niall and Conor and the grandchildren have lost a man of incredible ability and a true gentleman, our own children have had the benefit of his leadership and example and helped them to become the men they are today. May Padraic rest in peace.

Sincere condoence to Imelda, Conor and Nial on the very sad passing of your dear husband and father. I remember Padraic when he first came to teach in St. Kevin's Community college in Dunlavin. He was a fantastic Physics and Maths teacher, who taught me for 5 years. He was a fantastic communicator and this ability shone brightly through his teaching. He also taught my children who send their .condolence to you. Padraic worked tirelessly for his students and the betterment of St. Kevin's Community college. His analytical mind and dedication overseen the building on of the very big school extension to St.Kevins. He was so proud of. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace with God and his Holy angels in heaven. R.I.P. Padraic.

My heartfelt sympathies to Imelda, Connor and Niall and the extended Looney family, on the passing of Padraic, a man of my own vintage and cousin, who gave his all to life and all he encountered in the processl!
