Mary (my dear cousin), Margaret, Eoin & Colm. Pat will remain in everyone’s hearts and minds. A true legend.
Your darling husband & devoted father & grandfather, will be very sadly missed. His compassion, wit, kindness and genuine regard for others was truly inspiring. We will miss our fun times together at various family gatherings and house parties and weekends away. Pat’s gift for entertaining was without doubt, unique & amazing. He made everyone feel welcome and always put on a great spread and decoration! I loved our chats about anything creative and his book of Irish writers & poets he once gave me as a gift inspires me to write more. I shall always think of Pat when I hear the song that we always played when we were all together, True Friends Never Part. Fly high Pat and please give Mum & Dad a big hug for me! God bless you all at this extremely painful time. Lots of love Cllodagh & Sam xxx

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Pat. I worked with him over 26 years ago in St. Lawrence's Finglas and I will always remember his kindness and mentorship towards new staff members like myself. Pat always had a way of making us feel supported, and his kind words and guidance meant so much during those early years of teaching.

Some years after I left Finglas, I met Pat in Drogheda on a number of occassions and can still vividly recall our conversations where he spoke with such pride and excitement about his new home in Donore and his beloved family. He was a true family man, and his love for Mary and his children was so apparent in everything he said and did.

Pat's presence will be greatly missed, not only for his wisdom and experience as a teacher, but for the warmth and care he showed to everyone he encountered. My deepest condolences go out to Pat's family during this difficult time. May his memory bring you comfort and peace.
