Sincere sympathy to the Fitzpatrick family and their cousin Mary Farrell on the sad passing of Pat. He was a great neighbour, a born entertainer and a man of many talents. It felt like part of our family in good times and sad times. He was a ray of light as he lighted up our days with a laugh. I will always have fond memories of him rescuing us by packing us all into his blue Volkswagen beetle and bringing us home when it was raining. He had a great passion for acting and the Cornmill Theatre. I used to look forward to seeing him on stage down through the years. As a pupil of Drumeela NS, we had many school concerts where Pat helped out backstage. Any performance anxiety or stage fright subsided, we knew everything was going to be okay, Pat was there. He was involved in many things from the FCA, football to acting and he did things wholeheartedly. He really lived life to all it's potential, which reminds me that life is fickle and life is short. As Shakespeare reminds us in his play The Tempest, "We are such stuff as dreams are made on, And out little life is rounded with a sleep". Rest in Peace Pat.

The going on's in Fergie s shed. Macra in Newtowngore. The Pioneer day trips. The F.C.A camps in the summer. Cycling to play a football game for Drumeela Harps, his promotion to play football with Aughawillen,or his on stage with the Carrigallen community players. His role in the Play. " Playboy of the western world " his career in local films. His admiration for the game Kerry and Dublin teams of the 70s and how football should be played..
