We were very saddened at Gay's passing and very privileged to attend his funeral mass in Ballygunner.We enjoyed a great friendship with the Brannigan family during our 12 years in Ballygunner. The Brannigan household was most welcoming and our boys had many a playful hour in their garden.Gay was a most helpful colleague who will be greatly missed by Mary,Ciara,Patrick,and Ronan.Rest in peace Gay

I am so sad that I've only just seen this news. I have been out of the parish for the past 4 years but still get copies on the Newsletter. I knew Gay when I was in the Lions Club - and worked with him on Santa visits to the wonderful children in Lady's Lane. May his gentle beautiful soul rest in peace.

I use to refer to him as my 'Uncle Gabriel' during my early years in BOI Dungarvan.
He was a Saint to me as he always helped and advised me with our Agricultural Customers when I was a Gorsoon.
