Sitting outside Café Sol in Dunnes Cornelscourt, I’ve just had a chat with Zoe and Katie: The encounter reminded me so much of their grandfather Paddy's many wonderful qualities: easy charm, constant positivity, subversive humour, an instinct for the essentials, values that embrace generosity, and the practise of always being there when needed. Dante compared death to a ship lowering its sails at enters harbour, Paddy's final journey we can recall every time we walk the pier in Dun Laoghaire.
