Just heard the sad news of P.J's passing and our sincere sympathy to you all at this sad time. We had some great crack with P.J. when he arrived home both in Westlands and down here in Gurteen where Kathleen and himself used to visit. A pity he didn't see last Sunday's Clare and Cork match as I can only imagine the slagging. I used to enjoy his phonecalls and many chats and those I will miss as he was a good kind man, it's sad but he is with his beloved Kathleen and again our heartfelt condolences, may he rest gently.

Sincere sympathy to Claire,Barbara and Johnny on the passing of your beloved dad . P.J.was very good to me in the
late sixties when I visited N.Y. and again more recently when Eileen and myself visited my brother, Mort , in Boynton
Beach.

Kathleen and P.J. were so good to us and cooked a meal for us. Poor Kathleen did not live too much longer after that
and P.J. missed her a lot. They are now reunited in heaven and they will be so happy together.
May P.J.’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Sincere sympathy to Claire, Barbara, Johnny & family & extended families on the passing of P.J. The first time I met P.J. it was about 1975, in Egan's Pub in Kilkee. We had a session there that night it was my first time hearing him sing & we had a great night, also the lovely album he made with Martin Mulhaire about 45 years ago, that was a classic at the time. He visited us every time he'd come back to Clare. I always found very straight & honest, and a gentleman. May your precious memories comfort you as you grieve his loss. May his kind & gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Dear Claire, Barbara and Johnny,
Sincere condolences on the sad passing of your wonderful father, PJ.
I remember PJ collecting me from JFK airport in 2004. We were so engrossed in all things GAA and Ireland, he missed the turn off for Long Island and added an, incredibly enjoyable, extra 30 minutes to our journey. On that trip, I spent a week in the loving and generous surrounds of New Hyde Park. I was thoroughly spoilt by PJ, and the amazing Kathleen, from the minute I landed to the moment I left.
Since that trip, I have had very many rendezvouses with PJ and Kathleen, the effects of which always copper fastened my love and fondness for your parents.
Wherever they are, I hope they’re enjoying a good sing-song.
Rest easy, PJ.
