Paddy, I know you will probably be reading this from afar. I knew you through Bernie. We have never had the chance to meet due to me living abroad and also Bernie as well,then one day Bernie and I arranged to do our first holiday to the Big Apple! New York City where I would finally get the chance to meet you. Welcomed with a good hearty Irish hug and kiss on the cheek we sat down to hear your story of the adventure of flying to NYC and your road trip with Ber. How many people you met on the flight, how many people you befriended on the flight and how many people that knew of you! It was a delightful story and this was before you had even driven the miles on your AMERICAN tour! You were literally like the soap Cheers with the song “Where everybody knows your name!” We only had a few hours in meeting, I always asked after you all when Bernie was on FB or Messenger to hear about race meetings, the dogs and sheep and all the new additions of nieces, nephews, grandkids and how they have all grown up and starting their journeys now! 27 years of a beautiful friendship and the one chance we met not in the sands of the UAE but the hustle and bustle of NYC. I know how much you will be sorely missed by all those you met and of course your family. All our love from the Sandpit family xxxx

i tried before. to leave a message but i went wrong somewhere maybe it was to long, we were so sad to hear of Paddy’s passing, may the lord have mercy on his soul, and may the family fine peace that he is out of his suffering and pain, eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord, Paddy was my first cousin many years younger than me, Paddy i miss your phone calls for sure they cheered me up you were always one to make me smile.
