Dear Eithne and family. I was so sorry to hear of Paddy’s death. It marks the end of an era because Paddy was the last of my father’s siblings and the last in that generation of the Ring family that spanned so many years either side of WW1. Although his death was sudden and a shock, we can celebrate the long life of such a talented man who had a wonderful sense of humour and who the ‘London Rings’ remember very fondly. RIP Paddy. You will live long in our memories.

It came as a shock to hear that Paddy had died. He was so mentally strong, it seemed that he would live forever.
