Peter Gilbourne

Peter was an "acquired" uncle for me for many years, we used to drive together to UCD and shared many stories about his life in Canada, Ireland and his work around Europe. Always up for a laugh, offering help even when I asked him if we could change the time of an appointment or meeting time. We had many lunches together and I still cannot believe he is no longer with us. May you rest in peace Peter and thank you all the times and memories together.

In Christmas of 1962 Peter brought me to a party in the old ballroom in Killmeedy where he introduced me to my darling wife Marcella. So sad to hear about Peter’s sudden passing. He was always larger than life & his outgoing & likeable personality made him the centre of attention & influence and led to his success from his student days at UCC to his later excellent business career.
