Dear Breda, Aiveen, and family. Please accept our deepest condolences and be assured of our continued prayers for you. I'm so sad for your loss, but also grateful he was filled with the Lord's peace and surrounded by his loving family. My memories of Phil are all such happy and special ones. I will never forget the time I was privileged to work alongside him in Russia and my visit to your home in Ireland. I've passed on to my son many stories about Phil and why we had so much affection for him and he was so important to us. He wasn't only a man of great faith, prayer, and wisdom, totally dedicated to the Lord, his family, and his work: he had an incredible spirit of real joy, and I can still see him smiling and laughing as he told us his many stories.
"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen."
With love and prayers,
John, Noemi, and Samuel Romanowsky

Dear Breda, dear Aiveen,

My deepest condolences! I met you both only once in my life but I was very happy to get to know the closest people to Phil. I cannot even put in words how I share your pain and your loss. This year in January, my former husband died unexpectedly and suddenly at 50 y.o. Till now I miss him tremendously.

So - be strong. Very hard a time starts for you to learn to continue living. Phil was the one who brought me to God's way. I never thought of that before. I will remember him forever.

I hug you both. Dear Breda, just know that I pray for you specially and I feel your pain as mine in the very depth of my heart.

PS: All our team made a selection of photos with Phil, not only in Russia but also in travels abroad, in Germany etc. Please, find the link here to download them.

My dear Aiveen,

I share with Breda, you and your brothers the pain and sorrows of your loss. Your dad was an incredible man. I am sure that he was holy man. All of you are blessed to be siblings of such father. I open album with photos of 1995 and 1996, when I visited you for the first time. I live through 30 years again, that I knew Phil and was near him. I hug a huge hedgehog in my St. Petersburg flat, named Phil, and pray through tears.

Sorry, I cannot come for the funeral. From Russia it is impossible. There are no planes to European West from here. I wanted to talk to you via mobile, to hug you virtually and to cry together.
— Nick
My dear Breda,

I and my Russian team in whole, Russian friends of Phil, are with you in prayers and in pain. We all became orphans last Friday. The Lord gave Phil to you and He gave Breda to Phil. Even I know how he loved you, he talked about you every day, when he was not at home. I am sure that Phil became such an incredible man, and to my true belief - a holy man, thanks to you also. You shared and dedicated your life to him to the end of his days. And you are with him even now when he is in Heavens.

I know how hard and painful it will be to see his empty armchair. But your mutual love was so deep and big that it warms you up anyway. And before you there will be an eternity together. In the Orthodox churches of St. Petersburg and not only here, the candles are lit for the repose of Phil's soul and we pray for Phil in Russia that he loved so much.

Sorry that I cannot come for the funeral. There is no flights from Russia to Europe.

I hug you and cry with you.
— Nick Goryachkin
